Our client was one of three persons charged with armed robbery, among other charges. The prosecution argued that our client and his co-defendants lured the alleged victim to an empty street, and robbed him at gun point, even though eye witnesses saw no weapon, and the alleged victim gave conflicting stories about what happened. After a two-day trial, we received a not guilty verdict on all counts.

Our client was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm enhancement, following a gunfight where the other party was not charged. The prosecution’s theory was that our client was the only person firing a weapon, and we argued that he acted in self defense, and the investigation by local law enforcement supported multiple shots aimed at our client. After a three-day trial, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty.

The prosecution charged our client with one count of armed robbery of a local gas station. Their case hinged on eye-witness testimony from the store clerk, who could not give a description of the robber when she spoke with investigators, but later provided a detailed description of our client after finding him on Facebook. We moved the court to dismiss the charges against our client, based on the clerk’s acts and faulty identification. The witness recanted her testimony, and the prosecution dropped its case.
